Prescott Ranch was designed with families in mind, and it’s about to get even more family-friendly in the coming years. With five new parks planned within Belgrade’s latest subdivision, and a new elementary school being constructed next door, Prescott Ranch is quickly becoming the ideal location for families in Gallatin Valley.

Phase I Park In the Works

As part of Prescott Ranch’s Phase I development, a new public park is being built between Masterson Lane and Wild Bill Loop, parallel to Dilinger Drive. The park will serve the neighborhood as a gathering space for families and friends, featuring barbecues and picnic tables to grill and enjoy meals together. The park will also include playground equipment for entertaining children and dog stations that make it easy to get your pup out for some fresh air. An open field along with plenty of shade trees and flowering trees will make it a relaxing place to throw the football with the kids, or simply lay down on a blanket and read a book.

Future Parks Planned for Prescott Ranch

In addition to the one being built now, Prescott Ranch is planning four additional parks for the subdivision as a part of the next three development phases. These parks are still in the early planning stages, but the idea is that each park will offer different amenities and recreation opportunities. As part of Phase II, the park that will be constructed next is the largest, lending itself well to sports fields or other active uses. All parks will be walkable and bikeable, offering convenient spaces for the community inside and outside of Prescott Ranch to enjoy.

A New Elementary School On the Way

In 2021, the community will welcome a new elementary school just west of Prescott Ranch along Bolinger Road in Belgrade. As reported in Belgrade News, the school site was chosen, in part, to serve families in the new nearby subdivisions, including Prescott Ranch. Within a short walk or bike ride from the homes, the school’s proximity adds yet another element of convenience to families looking to make the most of their busy days. Currently, under construction, the 60,000-square-foot elementary school was designed with input from parents, teachers, students, board members, and administrators.

In February 2019, residents of Belgrade voted to approve a $48 million bond for the Belgrade School District to support its growing needs. A testament to the community’s investment in local schools, the bond will provide funding for the new school on Bolinger Road, which will replace the Heck-Quaw Elementary School. The bond will also provide funds to expand another elementary school in Belgrade and purchase land for an additional elementary and middle school.

Belgrade is becoming a popular moving destination for families, and Prescott Ranch living makes the transition easy. What’s more, the people of Belgrade are ready to support the healthy growth of this desirable community.
